LCCVI faces North Lambton for boys hockey crown

LCCVI will host the North Lambton Eagles for the Lambton Kent boys’ AA hockey crown Wednesday in Petrolia.

The Lancers advanced with an 8-1 win over Ridgetown in semifinal action Wednesday and the Eagles punched their ticket with an 8-3 win over Lambton Kent Composite in Dresden.

Miller Mailloux led the Lancers in their victory with two goals and an assist and Roen Douglas had a goal and two helpers. Jack Morningstar, Zach Wilson, Adam Broad, Ryan Minten and Reid King also scored for LCCVI

Jack Van Gorp led the Eagles with a pair of goals in its win at Dresden. Jack Niewenhuizen, Evan Van Gorp, Lucas Rogers, Aiden Wiseman and Charlie Verhoeven had the others.

The same two teams played for the title last season with the Lancers prevailing 3-1. It’s the sixth straight year LCCVI has been in the A/AA final. Game time at Greenwood is 2 pm.
