Temporary 402 fix likely to be done “later this week” MTO says

More freezing rain possible Monday
February 26, 2023
From Environment Canada:
Special weather statement in effect for:
- Sarnia – Petrolia – Western Lambton County
- Watford – Pinery Park – Eastern Lambton County
Freezing rain and strong winds Monday and Monday night.
A messy mix of wintry precipitation is forecast to develop Monday. Precipitation may begin as a brief period of snow or ice pellets before transitioning to freezing rain and then rain showers or drizzle as temperatures rise above zero. A few millimetres of ice accretion will be possible before the transition to rain Monday afternoon or Monday evening.
In addition to the potential for freezing rain, strong winds gusting up to 70 km/h are also expected Monday into Monday night. Local power outages may occur.
There remains uncertainty as to the exact amount of freezing rain that may occur. People are advised to monitor future forecasts as freezing rain warnings may be required as the event draws nearer.
Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to [email protected] or tweet reports using #ONStorm.
