Repairs to Victoria Hall’s clock tower are expected to move ahead as soon as possible.

The wood structure around the clock tower is starting to deteriorate at the north end of the roof.

Photos show broken slats and flashing as well as deteriorating wood in the decorative cupola.

Dave Menzies, the director of parks, recreation and facilities says $20,000 has been set aside in the 2023 budget.

They “will be used to complete immediate repairs as soon as possible and to obtain a more detailed review of the structure” with recommendations for what needs to be done.
