LCCVI’s Landon brings home bronze to go with silver from OFSAA pool

LCCVI’s Darius Landon took home two medals from his first provincial high school swimming championship.

The Grade 11 student won a silver medal in a hard fought Senior Boys 50m free Tuesday. Then in the second day of competition picked up a bronze medial in the 100m individual medley at the OFSAA swim meet in Windsor at the International Aquatic Centre.

It’s believed to be the first time a Lancer has medalled in a OFSAA swim meet.

Carson Love of the Lancers competed in the Senior Boys’ 100 m freestyle placing 37.

Love and Landon, along with teammates Hunter Kedwell and Yarko Zelenehut placed 23rd over all in the Senior Boys’ Free Relay.

The Junior Girls team of Elizabeth Kuykendall, Madailynne Henderson, Danielle McKay and Marnie Sawyer placed 27th in the 200 m medley.
