East Lambton U13 Reps provincial champions

The East Lambton Eagles U13 team dominated the provincial championships in Barrie bringing home the Red Hats after beating South Huron in the final.

The Eagles began the journey Friday with an 11-1 victory over Tavistock and a 6-4 over Wasaga. Saturday, the Eagles qualified for the semi’s dominating Drayton 14-0. The team earned its birth in the final with a 8-1 win over Woodville.

East Lambton struck first a 2:35 in the final against South Huron. The teams both notched two goals in the second and South Huron tied it up at 9:19 of the third to send the game to overtime. But it was East Lambton scoring the game winning goal at 5:32 and taking home the provincial championships and the coveted Red Hats.

The U11 team also made it to the provincial championships. The Eagles beat Mariposa 11-3 and Burford 7-2 to meet Aylmer in the final where the Eagles were defeated 6-4
