Teen photo contest studies Humans of Lambton
April 3, 2023
Teen photographers are getting another chance to be part of an exhibit at the Judith and Norman Alix Art Gallery.
The theme for the 2023 contest is “Humans of Lambton” and participants are
encouraged to take creative photographs of people in one of these three categories in groups of two or more people, chance encounters with people or with creative or fine art photography such as portraits.
Officials say everyone photographed must be aware that their photograph is being taken and must have granted permission for the picture to be submitted to the contest and included in a public exhibit.
Each artist can submit up to 5 photographs. All contest entries must be submitted online at lclibrary.ca/teenphotocontest between April 3 to July 9.
Winners will be part of an exhibit with Canadian photographer Stephen Livick from Aug. 4 to Oct. 14 whose portraits are featured in collections from the National Gallery of Art in Ottawa to the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
