Man rescued at Bright’s Grove after boat submerges

Bright’s Grove residents used a makeshift device to try rescue a fisherman on Lake Huron today.
Sarnia Police were called to Bright’s Grove at Cow Creek after learning a man’s boat submerged in rough water on Lake Huron.
Point Edward Fire’s Marine unit was called to the area with Sarnia Police and Lambton EMS.
Point Edward fire officials said they removed one person from the water and was assessed by EMS. They launched their boat to confirm there was no one else in the water and tried to recover the capsized vessel.
No one else was found in the water.
