LCCVI athletes win at first track and field event

April 27, 2023

nJames Grant won the Novice boys’ 400 and 1500 metre events this week to begin the LKSSAA track and field season. 

The LCCVI athlete was one of six winners on the day Tuesday in Chatham.  The others were Hunter Mitchell, Jack Helps, Tyler McGrail and Charlie Shaw.

Ben Shepperd also won an event for the North Lambton Eagles.

On the girls’ side, the top LCCVI finishers placed second.  They included Elsie Wellington, Keria Angema, Hannah Daniel and Sophia Sayers. 

Grace Needham had a second place finish for the Forest-based Eagles.

The season continues this Saturday with the CK Relays.
