Forest area students heading to Indigenous Games

A number of North Lambton Secondary students will be representing their communities in the North American Indigenous Games in Halifax in July.

Mariah Altiman, a Grade 11 student, will be part of the Team Ontario 19U volleyball squad at the Games.

She plays club volleyball with the White Sharks in London and is also a member of the Wyoming Wranglers U17 fastball team

Rogan Sands has been chosen as part the Team Ontario fastball team for the North American Indigenous Games in Halifax this summer.

Sands is also a student at North Lambton Secondary School in Forest.

And two wrestlers from North Lambton in Forest have been named to Team Ontario for the Games in Halifax this summer. Hayden Wilson of Thedford and Watford’s Devyn Manning received word via email this week.

The Games will be held July 15-23.
