Luca Del Bel Belluz scored Sarnia’ Sting’s’s first goals just 27 seconds in the first period as the Sting went on to capture its first Western Conference final win over the London Knights.
The Sting led 2-0 by the end of the first as Nolan Burke added to the tally and 3-1 by the end of the second on a goal by Sasha Pastujov. Brody Crane scored for the Knights in the second.
Ryan Winterton pulled London to within two but Marcus Limpar-Lantz and Ethan Ritche scored in the third to cement the win. Nolan Dillingham had three assists on the night.
The Sting and Knights meet again in Sarnia tomorrow at 7 pm. London leads the series 2-1.
