Petrolia’s Acting Mayor, Joel Field, was talking to one of Petrolia’s youngest soon-to-be voters during a Town Hall meeting April 26. Town council members spread out around Victoria Hall to listen to concern from about 75 taxpayers who came to raise issues ranging from development charges to taxes. Field was talking to members of the Petrolia Child Care Advocacy group, including Jenna Simpson (centre) who want the town to build a child care centre.

OPP stop driver going over 160 km/h in Dawn-Euphemia

A Point Edward man is facing stunt driving charges after an incident in Dawn-Euphemia. Lambton OPP say around 4:30 pm Friday police saw a vehicle speeding. Officers clocked it going over 160 km/h in a 90 zone on Bentpath Line east of Oil Heritage Road. A 25 year-old was arrested and charged with stunt driving and three impaired driving charges.
