Wyoming’s Jackson named to all-star team

Core Jackson has been named to the second team all-conference squad in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference.

The LCCVI grad, from Wyoming, batted .323 with 62 hits and 45 runs in 51 games this season with the Phoenix-based South Mountain Community College. He tied for the team lead with 16 doubles and added three triples, four home runs, 32 RBIs and nine stolen bases.

Jackson and his Cougar teammates lost two 5-4 games to Tucson’s Pima Community College Thursday and Friday and were eliminated from the junior college regional playoffs.
