Pinery building new cabins with $827K grant
May 11, 2023
Pinery Provincial Park is building four new cabins with an $827,000 grant from the provincial government.
The cabins which sleep five and have a kitchenette with mini fridge, barbecue, microwave and electric fire place – will increase the amount of roofed accommodations available at the popular park in Lambton Shores. The new cabins are under construction now and will be in addition to the four rustic cabins already in place.
The grant is part of the provinces $41.7 million, two-year plan to upgrade and maintain Ontario’s provincial parks.
In a news release announcing the grant, Lambton-Kent-Middlesex MPP Monte McNaughton says the renovations will improve the visitor experience at the park and help boost tourism and ensure campers will”‘have better cabins for decades to come.”
