The first ever Walk for Alzheimers in Petrolia was a success. About 50 people walked five kilometers through Petrolia Saturday to raise money for research into the disease which affects nearly 600,000 Canadians. The Petrolia Walk was part of a two-phase Lambton walk. Part two is next Sunday in Sarnia. Organizers hope to raise $65,000 in total.
