Driver found sleeping near Brigden faces nine charges

A Lambton Shores man is facing nine charges after police found a vehicle parked along Telfer Road near Courtright Line.
Sunday morning, Lambton OPP got a call about the vehicle on the road. Officers found someone sleeping in the driver’s seat of the un-plated car.
Police spoke to the man and suspected he was impaired. The vehicle had been stolen.
The driver was arrested and police found controlled substances in the vehicle.
A 43 year-old is facing charges of impaired operation of a vehicle, flight from police, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, two counts of possession of stolen property, two violations of bail terms and operating a vehicle while prohibited.
The man was taken into custody and was slated for a bail hearing Monday.
