West Nile Virus found in mosquitoes in Corunna

Mosquitoes with West Nile Virus have been detected in Corunna.

Lambton Public Health’s found the virus in a trap Aug. 24.
This is the third instance of mosquitoes testing positive for West Nile Virus in Lambton County this year, following positive tests in Sarnia and Wyoming on Aug. 16.

No positive human cases of West Nile have been confirmed to date in the County.

According to Public Health Ontario, there have been three reported human cases of the virus this year.

Local unemployment rate at eight per cent
