Wyoming’s Jarvis, panthers advance to round two of IBL Playoffs

Jett Jarvis snapped a four-game playoff hitless drought with a base hit Thursday in Kitchener’s 5-4 win over the London Majors in the fifth game of the Intercounty Baseball League quarter-finals.
The Panthers had forced the deciding game with a 6-0 win over the Majors in London Wednesday.
Kitchener will now take on Barrie in the semifinals. The schedule is expected to be announced before the end of the day.
Jarvis had a stat line of .314/.347/.438 over the course of the regular season.
Toronto will take on Welland in the other semi-final.

OPP stop driver going over 160 km/h in Dawn-Euphemia

A Point Edward man is facing stunt driving charges after an incident in Dawn-Euphemia. Lambton OPP say around 4:30 pm Friday police saw a vehicle speeding. Officers clocked it going over 160 km/h in a 90 zone on Bentpath Line east of Oil Heritage Road. A 25 year-old was arrested and charged with stunt driving and three impaired driving charges.
