A Red and White win on Red and White Day in Petrolia

October 13, 2023

LCCVI is now 1-1 on LKSSAA AA high school football after a 24-23 a Red and White Revival victory over Wallaceburg in Petrolia Thursday.

Nolan Patchett, Joey Taylor, and Tyler Collins scored touchdowns for the winners with Tyler McGrail adding a two-point conversion. Hunter Duncan kicked a field goal and added a single.

LCCVI is idle next week. They will host Great Lakes on Oct. 25.

In junior AAA action Thursday, St. Pat’s blanked Ursuline, 42-0.

The Irish hook up with Northern in senior AAA this afternoon at Norm Perry Park. Kick off is 4 pm

Walpole Island First Nation senior dies in vehicle recovered from St. Clair River

The Independent A senior has died after a vehicle ended up in the St. Clair River. Just before 3:30 pm, Walpole Island Police were called to River Road along with Lambton OPP, the Walpole Island Fire Department, paramedics, the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office and the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre for the a report of a vehicle in the river.

Plympton-Wyoming puts the brakes on increased development fees

Currently, the town charges developers $10,881 for each single-family home built in the municipality. Local Track and Field Athletes win medals at event In St. Catharines
