UPDATE: Flooding closes 402 near Watford

Warwick Township also closes four streets

Highway 402 near Watford is currently closed due to flooding. Lambton OPP say eastbound lanes are closed at Nauvoo Rd, and Westbound lanes are closed at Kerwood Rd. For your safety, please drive carefully and do not attempt to drive on closed roads.

The rain was extremely heavy in Watford again. Vehicles headed down Nauvoo Road could be seen making a wake which lapped up against the walls of the Foodland store.

Warwick Township has closed a number of roads. They are;

– Kingscourt Rd. between Confederation Line and Churchill Line

– First School Rd. between Zion Line to Confederation Line

– Zion Line from Nauvoo to Sexton Rd.

Sexton Road between Zion Line and Egremont Rd.

– Quaker Rd. between Egremont Rd. and Birnam Line

And there are roads that are open but which have been heavily affected; including Underpass Road, John Street, McGregor Street and Warwick Street.
