London man arrested in 2020 Kettle and Stony Point murder

A 20 year-old London man has been charged with the murder of David Oliver in 2020. 

Oliver was reported missing on July 31, 2020 and just two days later, his body was found a short distance away from his red Dodge Ram pick-up truck. His body was found Aug. 2, 2020 near the former army camp.

The OPP and the Anishinabek Police Service investigated following up on a number of tips. 

In July 2023, the Kettle and Stony Point First Nation and the erected billboards hoping to unearth new clues about Oliver who was remembered as “a great student, talented athlete and a loving and caring man” 

A $50,000 reward was also offered for information leading to the arrest of Oliver’s killer. 

OPP say on Tuesday, a 20 year-old London man was charged with second degree murder and indignity to a body. 

The accused was a youth at the time so his name is protected under the Criminal Youth Justice Act. 

He was slated to be in Sarnia Court today.
