Lambton ‘in the driver’s seat’ as province eyes nuclear power in Courtright

September 12, 2024
Two Windsor seniors are dead after a crash at the corner of Inwood Road and Courtright Line.
It’s the second time in two years an accident between a transport and a passenger vehicle claimed a life.
Wednesday, around 1 pm, Brooke firefighters, Lambton paramedics and the OPP were called to the intersection in Inwood for a crash between a tractor trailer and a passenger vehicle.
Police say the driver of the vehicle, a 79 year-old Windsor resident, was transported to hospital by Air Ambulance and was pronounced dead.
The 77 year-old passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are not releasing the victim’s names.
OPP say the investigation is continuing with the Traffic Incident Management Enforcement Team.
In August 2022, a St. Thomas truck driver died at the same corner when his truck collided with a white Jeep at the same corner. Six others were injured in the crash.
