Bluewater Health home lottery marks 30 years

September 12, 2024

The Bluewater Health Dream Home Lottery has officially kicked off.

Tickets for the $1.5 million home on Shoreside Road in Plympton-Wyoming go on sale today.

Kathy Alexander, executive director of the Bluewater Health Foundation which runs the fundraiser, says in its 30th year, this is the biggest lottery yet.

“The Dream Home Lottery greatly benefits Bluewater Health and the patients and families we care for,”
says Bluewater Health CEO Paula Reaume-Zimmer in a news release. “Proceeds from the lottery support local healthcare and that is truly a win-win for everyone in the community.”

Over the past 29 years over $10 million has been raised through the home lottery.

“Charlotte Eleanor Englehart Hospital Foundation is pleased to once again partner with Bluewater Health
Foundation for the 30th annual Dream Home Lottery,” says Mark Braet, Chair, CEEH Foundation in a news release. “We’re thrilled to see the lottery continue to grow and we are always grateful for the support of the Sarnia-Lambton community as we work together to raise funds for local healthcare.”

Petrolia’s CEEH is in the middle of major renovations, a part of which will be raised by the community through the Dream Home Lottery and other fundraisers.

This year’s grand prize dream home, built by Forbroad Custom Homes, is fully furnished. The winner can also choose a cash prize of $1,000,000, the largest cash prize in the Dream Home Lottery’s history.
