Retirement, training deadlines leave Oil Springs without fire chief on July 1

East Lambton U18 B wins Tier 2 Silver Stick

The East Lambton Eagles are International Silver Stick U18 B champions.
The team beat the Douro Dukes 4-1 to claim the title in Forest Sunday afternoon to complete the tournament without one loss.
The Eagles beat Shelburne 3-2 Friday morning to open the tournament. East Lambton then topped Douro 4-3 later in the day.
Saturday, the Eagles held the Pittsburgh Aviators scoreless in a 9-0 win. The team then topped the Kawartha Coyotes 3-2 to gain a berth in the final where the Eagles topped the Dukes 4-1.
The Eagles scored the most goals of any team in the U18 B Tier 2 tournament – 19 – and gave up only seven, the fewest in the Silver Stick final.
