Petrolia Flyers sweep Lucan

The Petrolia Flyers has advanced to the second round of the PJHL playoffs for the first time since the team located from Alvinston nearly a decade ago.
Tobias Iantorno had his second straight hat trick along with an assist and Ryan Richardson scored twice to lead the Flyers to a 7-1 win over the Irish in Lucan on Wednesday completing a four-game sweep of the Yeck Division quarter final series.
Parker Davidson and Lucas Rogers also scored for Petrolia.
Ethan Flintoff and Owen Peters added three and two assists respectively.
The Flyers scored four times with the man advantage in the one-sided victory.
Ethan Everaert made 32 stops for the win in the Petrolia crease.
Ex-Flyer Maddox Nazwaski took the goaltending loss with 57 saves as the Flyers outshot the Irish, 64-33.
The last time the team advanced to the conference semi-finals was when the Alvinston Flyers beat Mooretown in six games in 2006.
