February 27, 2025

Plympton-Wyoming fire officials say damage in a fire on London Line seems to be confined to the attic.

Around 9 pm Wednesday, a passerby noticed flames at the home, stopped and alerted two people inside the house was on fire. They and their pets left the building.

Wyoming and Camlachie firefighters arrived to see fire coming through the roof of the two-storey home.

Petrolia/North Enniskillen firefighters were also on the scene to help bring the fire under control. Chief Will Davidson says the fire was confined mostly to the attic.

The cause of the fire hasn’t been determined yet.

Davidson reminds homeowners it is important to have smoke and carbon monoxide alarms in your home since they provide early warnings to homeowners – particularly when they are sleeping.
