Squires 0-2 in weekend playoff games

The Petrolia Squires are going to have get red hot if they want to advance to the second round of the Ontario Super Hockey League playoffs.

The Squires find themselves down two games to none following a 7-1 loss to the Irish in Stratford on Saturday.

Eric Marsh had the lone goal for Petrolia late in the second period.

Jakob Knowles took the loss in the Squires crease with 44 saves as Stratford outshot Petrolia, 51-30.

Game three is scheduled for Stratford on Wednesday with the teams meeting in Petrolia for the fourth game on Friday night at 8:30.

The Squires will need to prevail in four of the next five games to advance.
