Addisen Jubbenville scored in overtime to lift the LCCVI Lancers to a 3-2 win over Essex to claim the SWOSSAA Championship and a spot in the OFSAA tournament in mid March.
Essex scored first at 6:34 in the first but Tanner Hibma-Powell tied it up with about 7:35 left in the second.
Captain Olivia Minten broke the tie in the third but with just 7:07 left, Essex tied it up setting up the overtime.
At 2:51, Hibma-Powell fed the puck to Jubbenville for the OT winner.
Coach Scott Watson says last years loss to Essex fuelled the victory for the Lancers.
The team travels to Sudbury in mid-March for the OFSAA tournament.
