Petrolia Flyers meet Mt. Brydges in second round

Semi final starts Saturday in Petrolia
The Petrolia Flyers next playoff opponent is the Mt. Brydges Bulldogs.
The first game of the second round series starts at Greenwood Recreation Centre Saturday to open their best-of-seven Yeck Division semi-final. Puck drop is 7:30. Game two is the following night in Mt. Brydges, also at 7:30.
The Petrolia Flyers advanced to the second round of the PJHL playoffs for the first time since the team relocated from Alvinston nearly a decade ago.
Tobias Iantorno had his second straight hat trick along with an assist and Ryan Richardson scored twice to lead the Flyers to a 7-1 win over the Irish in Lucan Feb. 26. That completed a four-game sweep of the Yeck Division quarterfinal series.
Parker Davidson and Lucas Rogers also scored for Petrolia. Ethan Flintoff added three assists and Owen Peters had two.
The Flyers scored four times with the man advantage in the one-sided victory.
Ethan Everaert made 32 stops for the win in the Petrolia crease.
Ex-Flyer Maddox Nazwaski took the goaltending loss with 57 saves as the Flyers outshot the Irish, 64-33.
