Jason Robinson, Maintenance Supervisor for the Town of Petrolia, installing the second Petrolia 150 mural.

March 14, 2025

The second of three murals celebrating Petrolia’s 150 years as a town is now up.

The mural by Windsor Artist Sarah Robbins shows Petrolia 150 years ago in bright colours. It’s on the wall of Petrolia Home Hardware, facing Petrolia Line.

Robbins did her first mural in 2021, after her father died. She quickly realized the power of public art and how it can help people who might need a bit of light in their day.

This is the second mural in the downtown. The first – a post card called Greetings from Petrolia by Toronto artist Blaze” was completed last spring.

The final mural by Dresden’s Sarah Steele, will be installed soon on the east side of Total Hair and Body Care on Petrolia Line with the message Shop, Dine, Discover Petrolia.
