Killer Bees beat Strathroy to take 2-1 in senior semi-final

Third period goals by Ross Krieger, Jacob Chantler and Grant Spence broke a 1-1 tie and lifted the Alvinston Killer Bees to a 4-1 win over Strathroy on Saturday. The Bees now lead the best-of-seven Ontario Super Hockey League semi-final, two games to one.

Chantler and Brandon Buck of the Jets traded goals in the first period.

Kaden Fulcher stopped 23 of 24 shots for the Bees as the home team outshot the Jets, 42-24. Evan Debrower made 38 stops in the Strathroy crease.

Game four is at the Gemini Sportplex next Friday at 7:30. Alvinston will host game five on Saturday, March 29 at 7:45.
