Goaltenders Ethan Everaert and Elijah Grant were named co-MVP for the PJHL’s Petrolia Flyers at the team’s awards banquet on the weekend.

The duo combined to win 40 regular season and playoff games for Petrolia backstopping the Flyers to its first-ever Yeck Division championship.

Meantime, Ethan Flintoff and Tobias Iantorno shared the Ron Tyler scholarship award while Flintoff was chosen as the top defenceman.

Evan Morningstar and Dylan Campbell shared the most dedicated player trophy and Ryan Richardson was chosen as the most sportsmanlike player.

The most improved player award was Noel Sanderson and Mateo Craievich was named the rookie of the year.

Overage jerseys were presented to Jake MacLean, Owen Peters, Kaleb Kennedy and Dylan Demeulenaere.

Meantime, the Flyers have signed 17-year-old twin brothers for the coming season. Mason and Casey Guerette are products of the Lambton Jr. Sting under-16 AAA team.
