Two face drug charges after crash near Petrolia

Two people are facing charges after a crash on Petrolia Line.

Early Saturday morning, Lambton OPP were called to a single vehicle crash on Petrolia Line and found the vehicle had left the scene.

Officers found the vehicle in the ditch at the intersection of Petrolia Line and Plowing Match Road a short time later but no one was inside.

The OPP brought in the Canine Unit which found two people nearby. Both people were transported to hospital with minor injuries.

A 43-year-old from Sarnia and a 58-year-old of no fixed address have been charged with possession of opioids for the purpose of trafficking.

They’ve been released from police custody to appear in court Aug. 13.
