The Petrolia Flyers have reached into east Lambton for a pair of players for the coming season.

Alvinston’s Joey Hayter and Ty Moffatt of Watford are both joining the PJHL team.

Hayter, 19, has played the past two seasons with the Blenheim Blades including scoring 15 goals and adding 31 assists in 51 regular season and playoff games last season. He played two games with the Flyers in 2022-23.

Moffatt, 21, has played more than 200 regular season and playoff games in the GOJHL over the past four seasons, mostly with the Sarnia Legionnaires. 

The captain was traded to the London Nationals at the deadline last season.  

He had 13 goals and 28 points in 61 regular season and playoff contests in 2024-25 split between Sarnia and the Nationals.

Meantime, Noah Waybrant and Lucas Ross are joining the Mooretown Flags for the 2025-26 PJHL campaign.

Waybrant, a 16-year-old, had 23 goals and 29 assists in 61 games with the Windsor’s Biosteel Sports Academy U16 and U18 teams last season.

The Lambton Jr. Sting product also appeared in two games with the Sarnia Legionnaires last season.  Ross played three games with the Flags last season.

North Lambton Girls win senior basketball title
