Lambton OPP say no charges will be laid after an incident in Oil Springs.
Tuesday around 12:30 pm, police were called a home on Oil Springs Line, just west of Oil Heritage Road for what they say was a person in distress. Witnesses say there were five cruisers on the scene. Police closed the road during the incident.
About an hour later, the officers took one person into custody. No one was hurt and no charges will be laid.
“Our priority in these situations is always the safety and well-being of the individual involved and the community,” said Const. Jeanine Robertson in an email to The Independent.
