The Dupuis brothers have been named to the leadership group for the Mooretown Flags.  Jace will wear the C while Dylan, along with Ryan Vidler and Owen MacDonald will each be an assistant captain.

Jace and Dylan Dupuis combined to score 51 goals and put up 108 points for the Flags last season, Vidler begins his fourth season with Mooretown and MacDonald, a former member of the Sarnia Sting, has returned to his hometown team for his overage year after playing last season with Leamington of the OJHL.

Mooretown opens its new Stobbs Division season at Wheatley tonight at 7:30.

The Flags’ home opener is against Walpole Island on Saturday at 7:30.

Meantime, Mooretown has signed goaltender Ethan Dunbar and forwards Tristan McKichan and Mitchell Stack.

McKichan, a defenceman, is a product of Petrolia minor hockey, Stack played last season with the Lambton Jr. Sting under-18 AAA program and Dunbar, from Owen Sound, joins the Flags as a student at Lambton College.

The Flags won two of three exhibition games last week and ended the preseason with a 3-1 record.

Bright’s Grove library construction expected to start in July

And that means the Gallery in the Grove will close Saturday.
