OMVIC warns car buyers about illegal seller

The Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council (OMVIC) is warning people not to buy cars from Naserati Auto. The Windsor company is not registered with OMVIC and are not allowed to sell motor vehicles in Ontario.
Owner Amir Al-Nasiri is facing six charges under the Motor Vehicle Dealers Act (MVDA) and the Consumer Protection Act and OMVIC is investigating further complaints.
Jeff Donnelly, Chief Consumer Protection Officer at OMVIC, says to to call 1-800-943-6002 or email NoCurbs@omvic.on.ca immediately if you have bought a vehicle from Al-Nasiri or his company.
Vehicles bought from an unregistered dealer are not protected by the MVDA, which could lead to financial loss and possible legal issues.
