Evan Van Gorp recorded his first points of the young OHL season as the London Knights won back-to-back overtime games.

The Watford native had an assist in London’s 5-4 home ice win over Flint last Friday and he added a goal and an assist on the OT winner as the Knights beat the Storm, 3-2 in Guelph Oct. 4. London has now gone to overtime in four of its six games this season.

The Knights, 2-2-2, have a pair of home games this weekend, hosting Erie Friday and entertaining Sarnia Saturday.

Meantime, the Sting earned a weekend split with a 4-2 win over the Firebirds in Flint Oct. 4.

Brenner Lammens, Sarnia’s first round pick in April, had his first career OHL goal in the victory.

The Sting rallied from four goals down to Niagara at home on Friday but the comeback fell short losing 4-3 to the IceDogs. Grand Bend resident and former Knight Krys Barch coaches Niagara.

Sarnia is home to Oshawa on Friday night.
