Jace Dupuis scored late in the third period and John Chartrand made a season-high 47 saves in Mooretown’s 2-1 loss to Essex on Saturday at the Moore Sports Complex.
Oct. 9 at Walpole Island, Carson Crawford scored twice and Casey Schouten added a goal and three assists to lead the Flags to a 4-1 win over the Wild. Dupuis had the other Flags goal and Ethan Dunbar made 19 saves.
Sarnia’s Eric Bowen had the lone goal for the Wild. It was his first career goal in the PJHL.
Mooretown, now 2-2 at home and 5-5 overall, takes on Amherstburg tonight (Oct. 16) and Wheatley Saturday.
