Smith of Aberarder Central, Pembleton and Allison of Lambton Centennial top finishers at LK elementary cross country final

Hayden Smith from Aberarder Central, Penn Allison and Hunter Pembleton of Lambton Centennial were top finishers from Central Lambton in the Lambton-Kent District Elementary Cross Country meet at Canatara Park Wednesday.

Smith took second place in the Grade 7 Boys race, Allison took third in the Grade 5 Girls race and Pembleton was third in the Grade 8 Boys division.

Here are the top three finishers of the divisions:

  • Grade 4 – Boys; Nick Bell, Bright’s Grove, Nash Jeffrey, Erroll Village, Jack Core, Hilcrest. Girls; Nova Musser, Grand Bend, Alice Pavli; Erroll Village, Live Matthew, Sir John Moore
  • Grade 5 – Boys; Andrew Raiger, Rosedale, Malcolm Quigley, Indian Creek, Sam Avery, Dresden Area Central. Girls; Chelsey Romses, Gregory Drive, Emi Coco, McNaughton, Penn Allison, Lambton Centennial
  • Grade 6 – Boys; Jace Woltin, McNaughton, Nathan Pavli, Errol Village, Clark Van Middelkopp, Indian Creek. Girls; Brooklyn Redmond, Grand Bend, Jordyn Nisbet, Confederation Central, Bentley Kaiser, Wheatley
  • Grade 7 – Boys; Brady Bristowe, Grand Bend, Hayden Smith, Aberarder Central, Colton Houck, Cathcart. Girls; Nahliyah Chisholm, Zone, Layney McLeod, Kinwood Central, Kyrah Quigley, Indian Creek.
  • Grade 8 – Boys Tyler Van Kesteren, Chatham Christian, Eli Brinkman, Indian Creek, Hunter Pembleton, Lambton Centennial. Girls; Layla Moran, Lakeroad, Jordyn Lefaive, Wheatley, Amara Burns, Bridgeview.

Errol Village school claimed the most team titles, with the Grade 8 Girls, Grade 5 Boys and both the Boys and Girls in Grade 4, claiming the team titles.

The team winners are:

  • Grade 8 – Girls Errol Village – Boys Chatham Christian
  • Grade 7 – Girls Kinnwood Central – Boys Bright’s Grove
  • Grade 6 –  Girls Grand Bend – Boys Bright’s Grove
  • Grade 5 –  Girls Gregory Drive – Boys Errol Village
  • Grade 4 – Girls Errol Village – Boys Errol Village

High temps behind Canada Day 402 road problem
