Brief heavy snow this morning.
What: Snowfall rates of 2 to 4 cm per hour. Reduced visibility in heavy snow this morning.
Additional information: Snow is tracking towards the area from Michigan. Heavy snow is expected for an hour or two before tapering to scattered flurries. Travel conditions may become difficult. Visibility may be reduced to near zero at times. Consider postponing non-essential travel and outdoor activities until conditions improve.

Over 1,800 traffic charges laid on long weekend in southwestern Ontario

The Independent West Region OPP officers laid 1,815 charges following 2,107 traffic stops across the region during the Civic Holiday long weekend traffic campaign. The campaign focused on speeding, failure to wear a seatbelt, distracted driving and impaired driving. Police also enforced Ontario’s Move Over Law which gives emergency responders the space they need conduct other work on the roadside.
