School bus driver charged in fiery crash

A school bus driver from Petrolia is facing charges after a crash at Plank and Lasalle Roads which torched the bus and the minivan involved.
Friday, just before 7 am, the OPP, paramedics and St. Clair Township firefighters were called to the corner for a crash between a school bus and minivan. Both vehicles were engulfed in flames.
Students on the bus at the time of the collision were able to get out safely before the fire started. The driver of the minivan also got out of their vehicle before it caught fire.
The driver of the minivan was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and one student was assessed at the scene.
After an investigation, a 68-year-old bus driver has been charged with Failing to Yield to Traffic.
