Home in a bush near Alvinston damaged by fire

Few details are available about a fire outside of Alvinston.

Firefighters from Alvinston, Watford and Glencoe were called to a house fire in Southwest Middlesex on Old Airport Road Friday afternoon before 4 pm Friday. A home, well off the road and surrounded by trees, was on fire.

No flames were visible however white smoke rose from behind the pine trees. Firefighters could be seen making a hole in the roof at the back of the home near a aluminum chimney.

Details of whether the owners of the home were inside at the time were not immediately available.
