A news conference by Bluewater Health is being billed as an “exciting announcement” about the capital project at Charlotte Eleanor Englehart Hospital in Petrolia.
In 2017, the hospital announced 25 year plans to completely redevelop the rural hospital including reconfiguring the emergency department and a new diagnostics department.
Over the past eight years, work has been done on the buildings infrastructure including replacing an aging power plant and renovating patient rooms.
Bluewater Health approved the design of the ER but has been waiting for three years to get the green light from the Ministry of Health to begin work on the ER.
