One dead in collision at Bluewater Bridge

One person has died after a collision at the Bluewater Bridge in Point Edward.
Just before 8 am Wednesday, Lambton OPP, Point Edward firefighters and Lambton paramedics were called to the westbound lanes of Highway 402 near the Bluewater Bridge toll booths.
Initially, OPP said the driver suffered life threatening injuries, however in a news release issued just after 4 pm, police said the 60-year-old from London was pronounced dead at the scene.
Traffic was tied up at the bridge for hours as the OPP investigated. Police are asking anyone with dash cam video of the incident to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or report anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
