Veteran Andrew Jaques has added to his all-time scoring lead with the Petrolia Flyers. He had a goal and assist at Greenwood on Thursday to increase his lead on top of the scoring leader board since the franchise moved from Alvinston to Petrolia a decade ago.

Jaques has 143 points, three more than Curtis Helps. He broke the record last Saturday in Parkhill.

Isaac Truman, Tobias Iantorno and newly acquired Ryan Nichols also each had a goal and an assist for the winners.

Cameron Davidson had the other Petrolia tally as the Flyers beat Mt. Brydges, 5-3.

Jace McGrail and Noah Harse both had two assists.

Theron Morningstar improved his record to 10-1 with 38 saves in the Flyers crease.

Meantime, longtime trainer Bob Bressette received his OHA Crystal Puck Award during the first intermission last night.

“This award is a prestigious award from the Ontario Hockey Association recognizing individuals or organizations for outstanding contributions to Ontario hockey, often presented to long-serving volunteers or leaders, celebrating their dedication to the sport,” said the team in a news release.

Petrolia unbeaten in its last six games takes on the Spitfires in Aylmer tomorrow (Sat) night.

Among PJHL transactions this week, former Petrolia Flyer goaltender Maddox Nazwasksi has been traded from Lucan to Tavistock and Parker Currie has been released by the Mooretown Flags.
