Lamoureux’s five-point effort helps Killer Bees wrap up top spot

The Alvinston Killer Bees clinched first place in the Northern Premier Hockey League’s Metropolitan Division with a 9-2 home ice win over the Tilbury Bluebirds in Alvinston Saturday night.

Ethan Lamoureux led the winners with a goal and four assists while Brennan Feasey and Cameron Krupa each scored twice for the Bees.

Jacob Chantler, James McEwan, Brandon Coutu and Grant Spence also scored for Alvinston with Chantler adding a pair of assists. Josh Jamieson and Connor Lovie each contributed two helpers.

Kaden Fulcher stopped 23 shots for the Bees as Alvinston outshot the Bluebirds, 54-25.

With a record of 16-3, the Bees will close the regular season with a home game against Stratford on Feb. 7. Puck drop is 6:45.
