Two arrested in Corunna on outstanding Sarnia charges

Two Corunna residents have been arrested by Sarnia’ Police in an evening raid which included the department’s Emergency Response Team, Canine team and Major Case Action Team.

Police say they obtained evidence which led them to believe a man wanted on theft and assault charges was in the home on Fane Street. They obtained a special warrant allowing them to enter the home and found the man inside Feb. 17 around 8 pm.

Ryan Tye, 32, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and is charged with theft, five probation and bail order offences and assault.

Police also found another person on an outstanding warrant in the home.

Shaunda Hooper, 47, was arrested for an outstanding warrant for uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and forcible confinement.
