Seven local athletes advance to OFSAA track and field championship

LCCVI Jr and Senior boys head to basketball finals

It will be an all LCCVI/John McGregor final in basketball this year.
The LCCVI Jr and Senior boys are heading to the Lambton-Kent finals. Both secured their spot with wins Wednesday. Both will take on John McGregor in the final.
Remi Gorry had 24 points and Joey Edgar had 16 as LCCVI topped North Lambton 62-41 in the junior AA semi final.
Arie Roelands had 18 points and Mason Verhoeven had 10 points for the Eagles in the loss.
The Juniors take on John McGregor Friday at 4:30 pm in the final.
Then in the Senior semi final, LCCVI topped Wallaceburg 55-49.
The Seniors also take on John McGregor in the Lambton-Kent title – that game is at 6 pm in Petrolia.
