Goodhill to lead amalgamated Warwick fire department

February 26, 2026

The Independent

Brad Goodhill has been named Warwick Township’s director of emergency services.

The long-time chief of the Warwick department will lead both the village volunteer department and the Watford department as the two amalgamate after the retirement of Chief Rick Sitlington.

The amalgamated department will continue to operate the two stations. Kam Turner has been named Station Chief of Warwick and Ken Rops is Watford’s station chief. Jim Hart has been named deputy chief of training and operations.

The township’s Fire Master Plan in 2017 recommended the two departments be amalgamated into one service with two stations. Goodhill has served with the Warwick department for 40 years and
most recently held the role of Fire Chief for 10 years,

“Combining our departments allows us to align training, share resources better, and support o
firefighters,” Goodhill said in a news release . “Most importantly, it strengthens our ability to provide reliable and effective emergency services to residents across the township.”
