Sarnia hockey player identified as victim in Lambton College shooting

A young hockey player is the victim of a shooting at Lambton College.

Dane Nisbet, 20, from Sarnia died in the shooting on the patio of the Lambton College bar, The Lion’s Den early this morning, Sarnia Police released minutes ago.

Nisbet, who currently plays with the North Middlesex Stars, was a member of the the Sarnia Legionnaires, the Lambton Jr. Sting U18’s and the Mooretown Flags.

Nisbet was a Lambton College student, attending the facility’s Fire School.

In his LinkedIn profile, Nisbet said; “I’m dedicated to everything I do, always putting in the effort to ensure that I’m doing my best.”

Two others were injured, but police did not release their condition.

Police said suspects are at large and police have not identified them yet.
